Help with Spain Honeymoon

Hello all,
In early October, I am going to Spain for my honeymoon and it will be the first time that we have every visited the country. We are flying in to Madrid and we will be in the country for 7 days. We have no clue as to what we should do with our time there. I really want to make the best of this trip, but I don't know where to begin as far as planning activities. If anyone can help us out it would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a reason that you posted the same question 3 consecutive times with titles "Help with Madrid Honeymoon", "Help with Spain Itinerary" and "Help with Spain Honeymoon"? One thread would have sufficed.

You must have picked Spain for some reason, since it is for your honeymoon. Get yourself to the library or a bookstore and look at some guidebooks. What are your interests? Do you want to go to museums? Do you want to go to Segovia, Toledo, Avila, which are daytrips from Madrid?

Give us some ideas about what you and your fiance are interested in. Also, there's plenty of information already here on Fodors, so start with a search.

Sorry about the multiple posts. Every time I would click on "Post my Reply" my computer would freeze. So I had no Idea if ther were going through. So I would go back to the previous page and try again. I had no idea that all of them showed up. I actually plan on going to Borders Book Store during lunch and picking up some guide books. By the way, is there any way that IO could delete the extra posts??

Don't worry, Alisapie, your other posts will soon disapear, as far as no one answers them. And if somoene answers, it would be useful to you.

As for Spain, there are quite a few Spain experts on this board, as Maribel, Olga , Bob . However, weather wise, Andalusia will be warmer than Northern and Central Spain. Barcelona and the Cataluna, and the Golden Coast could also be an option.

As they are quite distinct regions, logistically speaking, as they also differ regarding culture, architecture and history, you should try to read a guide book, and browse some photos of the different regions to make your mind up.

Regards,

S

Oh my, the Fodors police caught your multiple postings! I have never been to Northern Spain, but have been to Souther Spain (Costa delSol). It's a great location to stay in. You can tour around Granada, Seville, Ronda, Mijas, Marbella, Malaga, etc. If you like to party, they have a great night life.

You need to ask yourself why you picked Spain in the first place.

If you identify your interests and budget you stand a better chance of getting some informed help.

Are your plane reservations set? If not, maybe some other place in Europe would be a better choice.
