Help with Lapland
Hi everyone.
I am considering a UK- Lapland experience.
I really want to see the Northern Lights and saw something about glass igloos where you can stay to see the lights. I also want to go to Santa-Claise villiage, and ride a reindeer sled and a husky sled. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to start planning a vacation like this - contact numbers and the like? Thank-you so much.

That sounds SO exciting. While at university, part of my specialty included studies of Lapland. I'm not into cold weather so wouldn't last an hour which is why I lived in Scandinavia, for decades, only during the summer months. Smiles. Have a great time and I REALLY hope you do a trip report on it. Happy Travels!

I'm now reading a memoir/travel book by a woman who spent a lot of time in Lapland, it could be very informative and she's a good writer. It is called Palace of the Snow Queen by Barbara Sjoholm.

You donīt have to go all the way to Lapland to experience white water rafting. Eastern Finland has some of the best rapids.
