help with capri!

my husband and i are spending 4 nights in capri and have been told that the only available hotel available is the caesar augusts at the rate $703.00/night. we are planning to be there from 7/12-7/16. any suggestions for a beautiful but more reasonably priced hotel (preferably not more than $500/night) and also the easiest way to book the room.
thanks very much.

Don't know if these are already listed in the previous post, but I highly recommend Hotel Luna, which is in Capri Town, only a few minutes walk from the main shopping street. We enjoyed our stay in two lovely seaview rooms, and found the location perfect. I think the hotel should still be within your price range.

Others to check are: Hotel Minerva and Hotel Mamela, both of which have gotten good reviews from other posters on the forum.

I would do the research quickly. Hotels in Capri often get booked up a year in advance!

Ridiculous! Fire your travel agent.

www.venere.com Has 10 hotels bookable on-line in Capri, and the same number in Anacapri.

Type in your dates and you will see that 9 of the 10 are available in Anacapri. Including the Ceasar Agustus at rates starting at 360E/night (deluxe seaview at 450E. For 700E your get a suite.) All others have rates starting at under 180E/night.

In Capri, 8 of the 10 are available, with room prices topping out at 255E/night.
