Help! Never been to Rome and can't decide which apartment
Hello, my gf and I are staying in Rome for 5 nights in October. We are in our early 30's and don't mind walking a bit to get to sights. Can you please help us on which apartment as we are not familiar with either area. I have done quite a bit of reading and like the idea of the dining in Trastevere but also like the idea of being in the middle of things with the apartment near Campo dei Fiori. Both apartments are a little big for just 2 but we would like to have a washing machine to cut down on our packing and since it is a little late to book our choices are limited. Any other apartment suggestions are welcome also. Thanks for your input.

I stayed in San't Andrea in March and thought it was perfect for two people. It wasn't too big--although we didn't use the loft--and is well-located. The pictures are very representative. It's very clean and the owner was extremely nice. We went to Campo dei Fiori for coffee in the morning but enjoyed the small kitchen.

My family and I stayed in the Trastevere one in April of 09 and found it very comfortable. It has all you will need. Its in a very quiet building and there is a great market just at the corner of the street. Its very walkable to all the great restaurants in the Trastevere area. We loved it! Its a relatively short walk (10 mins) to the C d Fiori area also.

"Campo dei Fiori is a much better location."
On the contrary! Trastevere is far superior - see http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...odistricts.cfm. "Your" apartment is pretty precisely on the border between the two parts of Trastevere described there.
