Help needed Morganb tgv tickets

I booked my tickets to Avignon from Paris and only after I had submitted and paid on line did I notice that I had picked Avignon centre not TGV station. After kicking myself soundly I thought I'd ask for help as to whether it is possible to alter this post payment. We will be picking up a car..is it possible that the train does stop at both places and we can get off at the TGV station?? Your detailed mesage worked like a charm for ordering too bad my eyes didn't read as well!!
thanks in advance

Look it up at www.voyages-sncf.fr again - depends which train you booked. Most TGV trains go to Av.-TGV station then you take (if you so choose) a bus ("autocar&quot into the centre.

The TGV 6193 at 10:44 goes direct to Av. Centre - not via Av.-TGV but via Montelimar - Orange (Avignon) - Avignon Centre and ends up at Avignon Sud.

Also be sure that you booked a TGV all the way - some connections are TGV up to a point (Lyon or Nimes) then regional express trains after that, they go straight to Av. Centre.

So - which is yours?

You are correct. I booked 6193 that leaves at 1044. Now I need to know if I call direct to sncf can I change my tickets to the train that leaves at nearly the same time and stops at both stations

I am probably answering my own question but I just re-read morganb's post to me when I first asked about ordering on line and he told me then about the 2 stations but that there was an inexpensive shuttle between the 2 stations. WallyKringen you mentioned the "autocar" as well.If this is so should I just avoid more angst and leave my tickets as they are and take the shuttle or is to worth it to try and change them?

You don't say what kind of ticket you bought, but if you bought a refundable fare, there shouldn't be any problem changing them. If you bought a nonrefundable fare, then I would forget it myself. I don't think there is any train that leaves at almost that same time which goes to the TGV station. There are some that leave about 25 minutes earlier or later which do. But if you bought a nonrefundable fare, then you are basically asking for a refund because you want a different train, and they won't allow that. In which case, you should just use the shuttle.

Thanks Christina, I think you are correct,I bought the non refundable , print at home tickets and we will just use the shuttle. I was so happy to find a good prem price in first class I bought before looking carefully now we will just see a little more of Avignon at this time than we planned!! We have the Mas des Romarins booked in Gordes so will be on our way there after shuttling and picking up the car. Thanks again
