My husband and I just returned from our 3 1/2 weeks in the Netherlands. I will be writing a trip report soon but I wanted to thank all of you who answered all my questions on this forum or who took the time to answer other's questions which helped me immensely to make our trip work out so well. We had a great time, very little rain, peak tulips, wonderful meals.

This time I'm planting myself in Deventer and Dordrecht, and travelling around them.>
Yup Kinderdijk windmills as easy day trip by boat and bus
Breda is a nice enough city too - off the radar for most - a beer town.
Gouda -a cheese town is one of the nicest old-world looking towns in Holland. Short drive from Kinderdijk.

No, it was my post Pal was replying to, thanks for the advice, Pal, I'm going late next month.
Gouda is a bit far but for the rest, certainly. There's also Biesbosch, which could be a good place for hiking if the weather is good.
