I agree with Esbelli Evi. I was there in August of last year and hoping to return this August. I stayed 2 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer.

Kris, enjoy your time. In all of the European countries and cities I've traveled, Turkey is my favorite by far. I was there 8 days. Unfortunatlly, I pre-arranged a flight out of Instanbul to Rome. If I had not done that, I would have stayed longer. On this next trip, Turkey will be the focus of my trip. I may catch a Greek isle or two.

I too found it very easy to book tours while I was there. But as far as Esbelli Evi, book NOW. If they don't have the exact dates you want, check for the surrounding dates, that's if you are able to rearrange your trip in Turkey. The Esbelli Evi is well worth it.

Have a great time.

If your budget allows you to explore Turkey independently I would highly recommend to do so. You can pick the gems you like and put together. Whereever needed you can hire a local & professional ertified guide to give you all history and insider stories while taking you to must see places and protect your interests when necessary. By doing this you are quicker and happier. Hotels will be on your choice and if you dont like just change. Eat whereever you like and you have the ability to mix with locals. If you study well or ask advices you an visit places even tour operators does not know. ( they wont be interested in small places since you cant put full bus of tourists in one place - especially to small boutique hotels )

You can hire driver and guide or just hire the car and drive yourself to many places. Add few days beach area to your itinerary especially at the end of the cultural part to relax and enjoy the christal clear mediterranean or indulge into the luxuary of a Gulet Cruise.

I am sure you can enjoy better. However there are tour companies working also boutique and they almost follow routes individuals would do.

Your questions or comments are welcome.
