Help me Redeem Myself - Barcelona Hotel

My wife and I stayed in a budget Barcelona hotel three years ago and the hotel I picked was the worse place we stayed since my brothers apartment in '92. We are going to Barcelona this Summer and Im looking to upgrade my hotel. Has anybody stayed at the Abba Sants? It is a 4 star for $130 usd per night but it is not mentioned on this board. I'm looking for a 3 star or a good deal on a 4 star and wanting to spend $100-$130 per night. Thanks for your help!

I probably shouldn't respond to this given my obvious "hotel bias" in Barcelona but i think the best way you could really "redeem" yourself would be to get a hotel that has a decent view of something and that hotel is the Colon (they have a website)..ask for a view that overlooks the gothic cathedral and square..stunning, worth every penny. Splurge, if that is really what it would be, just this ONCE.

Hi

I'm also looking for hotels and have found this website http://www.barcelona-hotels-directory.com/
Hotel Gaudi and Ramblas have both been recommended to me and I think they will come in about your budget. I think I'm going for the Ramblas.
I'm going the last week in Sept. so I look fwd to reading your holiday report with some top tips!!
Have fun....

My husband & I stayed at Hotel Colon, with a killer view. The hotel was across the sstreet from the cathedral. We originally had a regular room, but paid an extra 15 euro per night & we got a 6th floor suite with an incredible balcony, almost as large as our room. It's near most sights & or close to buses.

If you need more information please contact me [email protected]

Nevermind my question! I just did a search and came up with all kind of information about the Hotel Continental. Sorry, I should have done this before posting my question.
