Hi Flan, have you ever lost your gadget like ipad? and faced situation where you cant switch on the only smartphone you have, probably due to weather or humidity problem in foreign country? no wifi or pc you can borrow? or hard to find people who can speak english or you expect me to catch every stranger who i met if they can only speak italian and cant speak simple english? and before your phone turned off, you choose to ignore a message which my sibling sent from my home country, a piece of information which was released by the newspaper? you want to know which country i am from? it will be a country that has the worst government and politician, not forgetting to mention the on going corruption issue, i will pray for you, that you will not have a day in your life, where people judge you the way you judge me today, and you look like a fool when you explain even more, thanks, it will be the last post and visit i have with fodors.

No - that is the wrong way - you got so much good advice above from folks actually in Paris and Parisians - a good source - like if France caves in to the terrorists and leaves Syria the thugs win - leave because of flanner's rude crude remark and he/she/it wins.

Don't throw the baby out with the filthy dirty bathwater!

Don't let the thugs win. Please it only empowers them.

Flanner does have excellent advice...
don't throw out the baby,

mais faut pas pousser (bobone dans les orties) non plus...

And the last post of Vince is on the same level as Flanner's, so as far as I'm concerned, ifever there is a need for it, they're even...
sometimes this forum looks indeed like kindergarten. (and I do belong there too).

I don't understand OPs reply. Clearly he had internet to be able to find Fodor's, join and post his question, so why couldn't he check the Easyjet website for information?
Something doesn't add up.

Ok, I see he was already a member, but he had an internet connection, so looking at the airline website, or calling them would have been the sensible thing to do.

hetismij2 - I expected more of you - now you are suggesting this is all a big hoax - put yourself in the shoes of a nervous maybe novice traveler if possible who maybe has found Fodor's to be a source of good info previously- sad grilling the OP instead of simply answering his/her concerns.

And sometimes official web sites don't even know and the info could not be up to date - I would not strictly rely on that and is that flight going to Beauvais or Paris?

OP - again ignore the rude folks you will get good advice here.

Oh, I wonder how anybody ever travelled before iPad and the internet...? Maybe they just called their airline?

Yes but many folks want all the reassurances they can get and the situation could be in flux - real folks on the ground in Paris are a great resource too.

It just seems like hitting someone when they're desperate for reassurances.

Is Paris even safe right now - who knows - fizzbucket lost a friend in the bombing - even though the chances are low I do not blame folks for being skittish and avoiding Paris at this time - personally I would not but many many would and will and this I understand and hope everyone would and give the OP some slack.

Before I get attacked ca y'est.

"It just seems like hitting someone when they're desperate for reassurances."

This person's finer moments seem much less fine when such poverty of character takes front and center. However, I'm sure all our attention on him is well worth the scorn and was, I'm sure, the real purpose of the outburst.
