Help! Going to Olympics in Torino!
Just found out I get to join my husband on business in Torino during the Olympics. Please give suggestions on 4 to 5 star accomodations in this area. I know being that it is a 1 1/2 months away dosen't give us many options.

I would hope that your husband's company has a hotel secured as most of the hotels will have been booked a few years ago. The Hotel Jolly is considered a 4/5 star hotel there but there are 3 different independent hotels under the "Best Western umbrella" chain that are wonderful. Our family has stayed at the Hotel Genio near the train station and upscale shopping area and thought it was terrific!Torino was a really unique city and our family really enjoyed our visit. My son spent a semester studying there so let us know if you have more questions. Have fun!

Genio is very convenient with a friendly staff and great wireless, but the Olympics organizing committee has locked up nearly all the rooms.
Genio isn't 4 or 5 stars, but it's clean and comfortable. The IOC will have the LeMeridien all locked up. The Lingotto Meridien is one of the top hotels in the city, but it's right at Oly headquarters. The Palace is probably likewise booked, but it's a step up in luxury from the Genio.
If the business is an Olympic sponsor or partner they should be able to provide something, although it's very late in the game. Actually, a Milan commute wouldn't be all that hard or all that bad as you poked around for lodgings that open up once the Games actually begin. A friend recommends the Boston, but I have no personal info.
Many websites will automatically say ``no vacancy'' because they have officially committed to Oly organizers, but it would be worth contacting a few properties individually.

Another 3 star right in the center and within walking distance from the stazzione is the Roma:

Some of the staff members had a bit of an attitude problem about six years ago, but otherwise I thought it was a great hotel.
