One thing you can try is typing your message in a word processing program that includes spell check, then copy and paste into the Fodor's message.
to edit within the TT screens, after you hit "preview" you will see your message in its current state with buttons to either post or edit. If you see things you want to change, click edit and go back to make the changes, then click preview again to see your mesages with the changes made. When you are satisfied, from the preview window you just click Post and you are done.

paragraphs are dead easy. Simply hit return twice.
Like that . . .
as for copying from a word document - sometimes more trouble that its worth. The text won't come across anything like the original format. You get all sorts of symbols, weird punctuation and such.

For the usual comment, I go forth and back between 'preview' and 'edit' until I am satisfied.
For long posts, if you copy and paste from 'Notepad', the text comes through as you see it, without weird symbols. But no spellcheck. :-<
The format here just takes some getting used to. Then you will love it.
