Help finding a "castle" to stay in.

We are tying to find a Castle to stay in between Rothenburg and Gurdelsheim along the "castle" road.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I know there is Hotel Burg Hornberg, but we will be traveling from Prague and feel that is too far.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jackie

I believe it was RufusTFirefly who stayed at the Burg Colmberg very near Rothenburg.

Here is the website:

Oh, just saw you probably want a location closer to in between your two locations. Burg Colmberg is very near Rothenburg so it probably doesn't fit the bill.

Good Luck!

Try Relais & Chateau some of which, as the name suggests, are in castles. Take a look at http://www.relaischateaux.com. Karen Brown also has some castle hotels on her lists, take a look at karenbrow.com

jmday, I recently bought a book called 'Dream Sleeps - Castle & Palace hotels of Europe.' The book has a good bit on castles in Germany. If you do a search for the title and Carousel Press you should find it. The author is Pamela Barrus. I do remember I wasn't able to order on-line ... I had to send a check to Carousel Press and they mailed me the book.

Good Luck!
