Germany/Prague Routes????

I am planning on Taking the "Romantic" road trip, From Frankfurt then go onto Prague then take the "castle"road trip back to Frankfurt(while 50 miles north of Frankfurt) Can you do this with only 4 nights in hotels. I would like to stay one night there two in Prague then 1 night home.
If this is Ok, where should we stay. We will have children so we well be taking our time.

Thanks,
Jackie D.

Wouldn't the kids want to be let out of the car? That's a lot of driving, with little stopping, in 4 days. Check viamichelin, but my guess is that FRA to Praha is almost a full day, what with clearing the airport, checking into lodging, etc. Why take the castle road if you don't go in any castles?

We will not be getting there the day we go to Prague. We will have been at my brothers for a few days first. That was what I was wondering. Is that not enough time etc...
Thanks.

Since you asked, yes, that is TOTALLY impossible. You might be able to do the romantic road in four days, but that is quite far from Prague. Depending on the time of year, the romatic road can be very crowded. You might consider planning your own loop (off the autobahn), it's a lot funner that way!

So, jmday11076, your specific homework assignment is to go to www.viamichelin.com, determine the amount of time, distance, and route from 1)Frankfurt direct to Prague, and 2) Frankfurt to Fussen to Rothenburg to Wurzburg to Prague, Then report back here with your findings. I assume Neuschwanstein is one of your target castles.
Oh, be advised, there will be a choice of several towns named Frankfurt. You probably want Frankfurt am Main. Also, there are two Rothenburgs...you want Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

Now you'll have some appreciation of the time/distances involved. Have you decided what cities you'd like to hit? Personally, I'd suggest you choose between 1) a trip to Prague, OR 2) a tour of the Romantic Road. Four days doesn't really allow for both.
