Help! Deciding b/t two hotels in Dublin!

Does anyone have any recommendations on Ormond Quay or Jury's Customhouse? We are trying to decide between the two. Thank you very much!

Does it have to be one of the two?

Jury's Customs House is a nice hotel, but it's a bit out of the way. It's handy for those travelling on business as it's in the IFSC (international financial services centre)...but it's very quiet at night and weekends, and is close to some dodgy areas, so I wouldn't recommend walking around there late at night.

I'm not familiar with the Ormond Quay hotel but I used to live around that area. It's actually improved a lot in recent years. It's close to Temple Bar but around the quays can be a bit dodgy sometimes. However, if you walk back to your hotel in the evening via temple bar and across the millennium bridge, you shouldn't have any problems.

Both are fine, Jurys Christchurch may be more Central. Ormond Hotel could be a bit noisy as all te rush hopur traffic is outside in the morning. Check a few threads for hotels in Dublin for some other suggestiond near temple bar.

Bewleys in Ballsbridge in good but not in town and requires a bus or Dart train to the centre. If its the same price range stay in town. Custom house area is a lot busier these days so I would say its OK and just use sense at night and possibly take a taxi if its late.
