Has anyone stayed stayed at the Caesar House or Daphne Veneto/Daphne Trevi? I already made reservations at Caesar House which received raving reviews....it's just a little more expensive than Daphne Veneto/Daphne Trevi which is a B&B: This B&B received awesome reviews as well. But the one thing I liked is that they provide you with a cell phone!

Hi Seule -
I stayed at the Caeser and would recommend over the Daphne - personal attention and assistance was the best. Feel free to email me direct if you have any personal questions.
See my review on www.virtualtourist.com - http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/a6967/23513/3/ - I haven't gotten around to a full trip report on Fodors yet. FYI-this B&B is also called the Caeser House Residenze.

I don't know about the Caesar House, but we stayed at the Daphne Veneto and we can never say enough about it. Elyssa and Mimi booked a couple of our gallery and excavation site visits, mapped out walking tours on several days, made dinner reservations for each night of our stay for us, provided subway tickets for purchase, took care of the laundry, gave us a cell phone to use during our stay and even offered to run out to a church to pick up some Vatican tickets for us. Though it is a 3* B&B, we enjoyed our stay there even more than the 4* hotels we stayed at on the same trip.

Okay.....christigpa and hunnym...I still can't decide which one to choose...cell phone is an awesome added bonus as well as great personal attention to both. ALthough, Daphne Trevi has only a single available. I saw you pic christigpa. Looks great! I'm really looking for hotels that have great rooftop or roomviews. I also don't mind hotels that are out of the way....I like to see how the locals live!

Directly across from our window was a "real residence". Each morning we saw the old woman open her shutters, start breakfast, clean house, etc.
I arranged most of our tours and tickets ahead of time. I'd be happy to share our itinerary with you if you like. Again, sorry Fodorites, haven't had the time to post an official travel report!

hunnym -- I just booked Daphne Veneto for my sisters, mother and myself in March... it seems like a good choice for us. Can you just tell me about the bathrooms -- big or small? marble? good hair dryers? good towels or the thin, sheet-like variety? any information would be appreciated. Also, how was the breakfast -- standard? decent enough coffee?
