Has anyone had experience with a holiday/travel club ?

We were contacted by a holiday club, and told we had won a 'FREE' holiday.

In order to claim this 'Gift' we had to go along to a 90 minute presentation and at the end, the holiday (accommodation only) was ours.

It is not timeshare. All accommodation is in 4 and 5 star resorts and hotels, and they offer cruises and package deals, and by joining the club you are able to stay at these places for an average of 30-70% off.
I just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with a holiday club, good or bad.

Are they really good value or are they scams?

Any info would be helpful
thanks

There is no such thing as a Free holiday. (remember Too Good To Be True?)
They will expect you to purchase something or invest some amount of money. But if you are not doing anything, why not go and se what they have to offer?
*I have never been on to one of these things , but we knew someone in NY who did the selling for a living*

They're a scam! Typically these programs give you part of the package for free - and charge such high prices for the rest ( ie airfare at full coach) that it costs more than a regular package.

Go if you want - but know if advance that you will buy or book nothing - no matter what they say.
