Greve to Siena-bus, train or car?
Will be renting a place in Greve for a week and was hoping to do most site seeing by bus or train (will have a car but really enjoy using the local means). Can't find a bus route to Siena, anyone know if there is train service between the two?
Thanks, LisaS

Lisa - This link says there's a service in June/July between Greve and Siena on Tuesdays and Thursdays:

For services between Greve and Florence see:

Hope this helps ...

Because Siena is in a difference Province from Florence, the local buses have almost no interaction. This very likely means you will need to take the SITA pullman to Florence and from there take another SITA bus from the same bus station to Siena. The crucial item is that the last bus back to Greve from Florence could be as early as 7 pm. Check the links on www.greve-in-chianti.com to the SITA timetable - the summer connection to Siena from Greve needs to be checked locally. This trip can be done - start early and don't plan on eating dinner in Siena.

I see that the SITA web site has changed in the last day or two. The Greve bus time table is now here: http://www.acvbus.it/orari/365.pdf
