Can anyone recommend a high end hotel on or near St. George Beach on Naxos?
We will be there mid-September, 2009. Thank you for your help.

NIssaki Beach Hotel, only high-end hotel that is directly on the beach... the rest are back at least 200-300 yards. It has a spa, and suites with jacuzzis. google it & check TA reviews, but hurry, late for booking.

Here's a full list of St. George hotels ... Some of the upscale ones are Naxos Beach, Porto Naxos, Astir of Naxos.

You should be aware that aside from Mykonos and Oia in Santorini, Greek Islands usually do not have the super-luxe hotels you may be used to in your travels. Most hotels are family-run and very hospitable, but not extra-fancy with loads of staff bowing at your service .. but a lot of us love the simpler places all the better.

For a very nice hotel just off the beach try Naxos Resort beach hotel. Do not wast any money on the ocean view rooms the pool has the beat view of the ocean. Use the money saved for dining or renting a car to tour the island.
For a very nice hotel right beside Naxos Resort Beach try Galaxy Hotel. Cheaper but well appointed.

I have been to naxos island last year and i found a website with almost 80 hotels http://www.naxosbooking.com try it the only problem is that there is no online booking .
