Greece: Getting to Paros after transatlantic flight
We will be visiting Greece in May, arriving into Athens just before 8 AM. I see on the Olympic Airlines schedule that there is a flight to Paros around 11:30, but I have been reading lots of posts about sudden cancellations on that route. I would think about taking the ferry, but don't really want to add a four or five hour journey to an already very long night/day.
Would we be better off flying into Mykonos, overnighting there, then making our way to Paros on the ferry the following morning?
Thanks for your advice!

Since the Olympic flight is the only one to Paros I think the chances are good that they've worked the kinks out of the scheduling SNAFU that took over a few weeks ago. I'd book, and if there was a problem, then I'd just go to Mykonos as a backup plan.

Thanks, brotherleelove2004! Have you taken that flight? Looks like it's a turbo prop, which doesn't thrill a nervous flier like me! Maybe we are better off taking the ferry after all.

Weadles, the turboprop is not because they are using old equipment, it is because it is the best solution for the size of the airport & runway etc. but it's your call. You have now been given enough information to make your own decision.
