Greece Ferries Question
Hi there,
I have a question I was hoping someone on this forum would know the answer to.
I am staying in Santorini from July 15 until July 20th. On the 20th, I am taking a ferry to Naxos. I wanted to see Naxos before I meet my parents in Mykonos on the 22nd. The only issue is the Greek Ferry booking websites don't show any scheduled ferries from Naxos to Mykonos on the 22nd (only the 21st). I was really hoping to stay in Naxos for 2 nights so I don't want to leave on the 21st. Does anyone know if it's possible to just go to the port in Naxos and find a boat/charter/ferry to Mykonos, or is it imperative to book this ferry ahead of time?
Thanks very much to anyone who can help me!

Ferries were the only way to get around minus chartering the island hopper aircraft. I did see charter boats but they were for excursions. And, they were expensive.
Hopefully, one of the Greek experts will chime in with help on the ferries. You will be there during peak time and imagine booking ahead for any ferry travel would be a good idea.
This is the site I found most helpful for the ferry schedules:

There is a 9:30 Blue Star ferry departing Naxos for Paros, arriving at 10:15. There are 2 highspeed ferries from Paros to Mykonos, from Sea Jets and Hellenic Seaways, departing at 11:00am and 1:55 pm. As long as you can catch the 9:30 ferry to Paros you shouldn't have any problems getting a ferry the rest of the way to Mykonos, but in July I'd advise you to book in advance to make sure you get what you need.
The only other way to get to Mykonos from Naxos on the 22nd would be on the excursion boat to Delos/Mykonos, _IF_ it is operating that day.

On the website you can put in a departure port and leave the destination blank to see where they go for the day. After choosing your arrival port it then gives you availability and if there is a ferry.

Brotherleelove gave you the only sure way to get from Naxos to Mykonos on Friday, Jul 22nd. Also check with Naxos Star, one of the excursion boats operating out of Naxos. In previous years they have run an excursion on Fridays to Mykonos, departing at 8:15 am and arriving on Mykonos at 10:15 am. Check in a travel agency or direct with the crew to see if you can book a one-way ticket to Mykonos. I believe that is possible, as they frequently take passengers arriving on flights to Mykonos back to Naxos.
