My husband, daughter(14), and I will be in Geneva for 1 day in June and would love a great restaurant recommendation. Does anyone have a good one in mind????

Hi rjbriskin,

What do you consider "great"? Do you mean gourmet & Gault-Millau, or do you mean great value for your money or great Italian or great ambiance?

How far would you go from Geneva to eat? Take a look at the Pont de Brent in the town of Brent outside Montreux.

Swandav2ooo-Great meaning really great food and great ambiance. I am not too concerned about price. I would prefer to stay in Genevea as we are really only there for 1 1/2 days. How far out of town is Brent?

les Bains de Paquis. You are literally eating "on" the lake! This is a section of the lake that has been turned into a public swimming area and has a fun restaurant for lunch. I love the place just for its ambiance. And the plat du jour is usually quite good and quite inexpensive.

Bonjour rjbriskin,

I suggest Restaurant du Parc des Eaux-Vives http://www.parcdeseauxvives.ch/pages/e_presentation.php

Great view over the lake and the city from the middle of one of the most beautiful park in Geneva ...

Thank you all- Since we are there for such a short time these suggestions are perfect. I think Les Armures looks great especially for my 14 year old who is a very picky eater. Thanks again for all the suggestions.

My wife and I have three restaurants in Phoenix, we don't like stuffy, we like quality, local places. This place is casual and quality, trust me, you will be happy.
