Hi my daughter is graduating next year and I want to surprise her with a trip to Europe, she has always dream for goign to London, Paris, Rome - . the problem is that I have no idea how to make the trip I know I can fly to paris and travel by train to Londn and from there by train to Rome or Tuscany but can some one please help me with an Iteneray? I will love some insights we are adventurous !!! if is possible you think I could add Tuscany on a 10 days trip (counting the travel time) we want to go to the country side in tuscany if possible and it will be on July of 2010

Can you clarify: Do you mean you only have 10 days total, including the travel days?

That would mean 8 real days for sightseeing, no?

2 cities MAX. I'd stick with London and Paris; save Italy for next time.

Fly INTO London, take the train to Paris, fly HOME FROM Paris.

I don't think anyone can help you with only this information at hand. Where will your trip originate? If your destination is Rome and Tuscany, why would you fly to Paris and then take a train to London and then a train to Italy? That makes absolutely no sense at all.

If your plan is to do London, Paris, and Rome in 10 days, that's a lot.

remember everytime you change locations you lose a day.
3 nights minimum in each place is ideal.

I agree a London/Paris combo is what you should do. Rememeber there are tons of daytrips you could do from these cities.

London + Paris OR Rome + Tuscany.

Did your daughter study a language in college? If she learned French, she'll want to go to Paris, I would think.

We're taking our daughters to Italy for a graduation present, but they have already been to Paris (and London).

I definitely agree with choosing at most 2 of the 3 original choices. Your daughter is young and will hopefully have the opportunity to go back to Europe many times over her lifetime, so you don't have to spread yourselves too thin on this trip. I'd go for quality rather than quantity - in addition to sightseeing, you'll probably need time for shopping and just hanging out soaking up the scene.

To narrow down the scope of the trip, I'd consider what exactly it is about London, Paris, and Rome that have piqued her interest.
