Another Paris bistro list

I found this on a local foodie board. Not that I am a foodie or anything.

Hi fly,

Interesting list,

I fully agree with the review of Taillevent, but I wouldn't call it a bistro.

In the 1st arrond, I would add
Au Chien Qui Fume , just outside the entrance to Les Halles on Rue du Pont Neuf.

Looks like a pretty standard list to me, but it includes a number of restaurants that are not exactly "foodie" idea of heaven..(Chartier? Maxim's?? Polidor??) and a number that are certainly not bistros..L'Atelier, Pied de Cochon, for example. And places like Le Chateaubriand are not included..in fact, some of the "reviews" are years old.

But gives a nice overview, I guess.

I usually check this website out when I am accumulating my list of restaurants for Paris. I find his reviews enlightening and often of places not listed in the media's go to places. He has a different criteria when choosing restaurant. I think he is either retired or on a limited budget.

He does have some interesting comments at the end of some listings--Aux Lyonnais, for example.

Thanks to the OP for posting..
