Glasgow to Shannon
Anyone know who flies between Glasgow and Shannon? I checked the discount carriers Ryanair, EasyJet and British Midland, none of them do.

U.S. Airways is going to be opening a new route to Shannon for $388 from Philadelphia or New York and was thinking that would be better than Continental to Glasgow for $822 in May, IF we could get a cheap flight from Shannon. Right now U.S. carriers aren't offering any bargains that far in advance and I'd be real surprised if they can anywhere near that price later.
Ken, even though I'm not a big fan of the airline, check with Aer Lingus. They stop in Shannon, but continue on to Dublin. I'm fairly certain you can get a flight to Glasgow from Dublin. For that matter, the US Airways flight may also continue on to Dublin.

Also, check www.travelocity.co.uk for flights between Shannon and Glasgow.

One final option, why not fly to London and get a flight to Glasgow from there? You might have more options that way.

I finally found my original message.

The only reason I thought of flying into Shannon was it is being offered at almost 1/2 the cost of the other airline prices quoted now and only till Jan. 16th. The cheapest I could find was Continental Air for $822 directly to Glasgow. The difference would pay for 2 tickets instead of one.

We normally fly out of Newark or Philadelphia.
BA, Aer Lingus, and British European.
BE will probably be cheapest.

For the record, it's simple to discover this sort of thing. Go to a general flight engine for the region, then put in the particulars, you'll get a list.
Failing that, go to the airport website and click on the destinations list.
