Best way to get from Dublin to Inverness, Scotland!
I need help badly! I have to get from Dublin, Ireland to Inverness, Scotland in July 2003 for a wedding. I was originally going to take a flight from Dublin to Aberdeen (via Ryan Air) and then the train from Aberdeen to Inverness. However, when I went to book the flight on Ryan Air I found out that they had moved it up 3 hours. Now I can't take it because my flight from the U.S. lands in Dublin at 8 am and the Ryan Air flight takes off at 9:30 am. Ryan Air's website says you need to be there 2 hours ahead of time.
I now need to find the cheapest way to get from Dublin to Inverness. Does anyone have any low fare airlines they can recommend. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

There's another flight 20 minutes later to Edinburgh which would be almost as good. I guess the wedding is the same day?In the afternoon?
I also suspect ryan air would let you check in by phone if you could confirm your flight was on time. Why not ask them. Believe me, Dublin airport is not so big that a 90 minute layover is too tight.
Plan B would be to fly to Stansted, then by Easyjet to Edinburgh, which would get you to Inverness for about 4.30pm
Plan C would involve getting a car or bus from Stansted to Luton (they're not that far apart) and getting the 1.15 Easyjet flight to Inverness.
I would do Plan A myself. It's two hours' fast drive from Aberdeen to Inverness. You are planning on sleeping on the translatlantic flight aren't you?
