I am a filipina and recently living in France, my husband is half english and half french, we are planning to go to UK this december, (he's been to UK lots of times, but this time, im will be going with him.) Do i need to apply for visa going to UK? i am only holding a philippine passport with french spousal visa. Been calling on the English embassy in Paris to ask about it, but its always busy. Hope anyone can help me, thank you. Bonne journee.

You most likely do need a visa. Filipinos living in the U.S. with green cards need visas for the UK, so I'm guessing you will as well. But of course you need to confirm that with the British consulate in Paris. It's likely that the information will be on the consulate's web site.

wow! such a quick response! thank you so much, but i dont see any related topics to where i should search in the UK embassy website, my husband got dual nationality (according to him) french-english, so he made me confused if only he is not half, english, i am very much certain that i do need a visa for UK.

Your husband's nationality is of no consequence, even if he holds a British passport - though that may complicate your visa application somewhat, if the UKBA think you are intending to settle in the UK.

For entrance to the UK what matters is your nationality - not your husband's.

As husband is a citizen of an EU country, his citizenship does matter.

As he holds British citzenship then British rules on immigration will apply and you will need an appropriate visa.

If your husband didn't have British citizenship then EU law on freedom of movement would apply
