General Strike in Greece
Hi! We have friends who left for Greece a day after the General Strike started. We have tried (to no avail) to find out if the strike is still on and, if so, how travellers are being affected. If anyone knows the answers to these questions we would sure appreciate any information you can provide.

Thanks so much.

We came to Greece on June 2nd and are still here and will be for another ten days. If there is a strike it's invisible. There was a one day taxi strike a weeks ago in Athens but that's probably not what you are talking about. There was an article in the paper about a call for a one-day general strike on June 18th but that is the only thing I have heard about.

There was an article about the strike on CNN's website around the time that they left. Thank you to the 2 individuals who took the time to respond with helpful information. As for the other - you are just TOO witty. That must be why you have enough time on your hands to be such a NOB. Or could it be that you are simply unemployable?
