From Sorrento to Amalfi Coast
I'm planning to stay in Sorrento for a few days (probably 4) and I would like to visit Amalfi, Positano, Praiano from there. I don't want to rent a car, I will prefer to do it by bus. Have anybody done it this way? What has been your experience? I just want to know if it's feasible to move from town to town by bus. If you know any website let me know. I tried to enter into the SITA site but I don't know how to get their timetables for the region.
Thanks for your help.

What time of year will you be there?
It is certainly possible by bus - but in the middle of the summer can take forever due to traffic and hordes of tourists waiting for the buses. In that case I would certainly look into taking ferries instead where possible - faster, more pleasant and great views of the coast.
In off season buses will be faster (much less traffic) and less crowded/unpleasant.

Also, where do you take the ferries? At "Marine Piccola? Do you know where they go? Amalfi?
Thanks a lot for the information.

Although your hotel bill will say its high season because the weather is likely to be lovely, end of September is not high season on the Amalfi in terms of crowds. I think you'll be fine with buses so long as you don't get on them directly after eating. But ferries are also pleasant.

Hi en,
End of Sept is the shoulder season. Buses will be relatively uncrowded.
Your hotel will be able to give you a bus schedules.
SITA buses go from Sorrento to Salerno with stops at all of the towns along the way.
You can also take the ferry from Sorrento to Positano to Amalfi to Salerno.

Hi E,
Why not do both, bus one way and ferry the other.
You will then see the coast from two different angles.
If I remember correctly the ferry leaves from Marina Piccola and goes to Positano and Amalfi (can't remember if it stops in Priano) but check the sailings as some may only go go one or all ports.
