Frankfurt Airport

My first time in Europe and my layover will be in Frankfurt (final destination: Rome). I'm only there for barely 2 hours but I definitely want to take advantage of it ... food wise!

Any suggestions of what/where to eat. I did some research and noticed they have a lot of restaurants/bars! AND of course..beer choices. That's a must-try! Suggestions would be wonderful for anyone who's had the chance to pass some time in their airport! Thanks.

if you have only 2 hours between landing and taking off, I don't think you'll have much time for fine dinning.

For typical German food of better-than-fastfood quality, try Käfer in Terminal 1.

I don't know the airport well, I've only been once, but you won't have time to get out of the airport to eat anywhere. There will be plenty of places along the way to have a beer and grab traditional German food. A two hour layover isn't as long as it seems particularly if you're running at all late.

With 2 hours you may just have time to make your ongoing flight - depending on if it arrives at time, if you have checked luggage that you need to transit (if non partner airlines etc).

I wouldn't count on time to eat anything.

Go to Käfer.

One location in terminal 1, level 4.

Another location in terminal 2, within the Schengen area.

For German-style seafood, Gosh Sylt is an excellent option: terminal 1, level 2.

Do not hesitate to ask for directions.

You will be short on time probably. Thee is also a SHERATON HOTEL on the airport grounds that should have better food than the airport. You can easily walk to that from the international terminal.
