FOOD AND SIGHTS AMALFI

My husband and I are taking a cruise beginning in Barcelona, Port Vedres, France - Marseille, France - Monte Carlo, Monaco - Cannes, France - Portofino, italy - Portoferraio, Italy - Rome! (end of July)

We will be at each of these ports approx 8 hrs. We are not really interested in shopping - LOVE GOOD LOCAL FOOD (especially seafood and Italian food) and LOVE WINE. We are in our mid 50's - good shape and have never been to France or Italy. We have been to Barcelona, so not searching for favorites there. Any comments/suggestions are truly appreciated!

Why are you asking about Amalfi? Your cruise doesn't stop there.

The end of our trip will allow us 2 days in Rome. Obviously we are going to have to severely prioritize. Any suggestions on what are MUSTS and what will have to wait until the next visit?

Wih only two days in Rome you don't have time to travel to the Amalfi Coast.
