Amalfi Cost

I am interested in a week long stay in a villa on the coast of Amalfi or Sorrento. We do not want to pay more than 1300 euros per week for a two bedroom with a sea view and air conditioning. We need to find the best place to rent for a 50th birthday- two couples - no kids. Want to be able to walk to cafe or stores but still be near the beach or by sea view. Does anyone recommend a good village, town, or area that woudl be the best? MC Andres

My way to reply when I see that request is for Amalfi Coast or Penisola Sorrentina, is to suggest the magical small town between these two gorgeous areas: Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi.
Due Golfi, meaning two gulfs because its location is at the edge between Amalfi Coast (Golfo di Salerno) and Penisola Sorrentina (Golfo di Napoli).
When are you coming ?

Try www.summerinitaly.com We used them for our week in positano in 2007 and they were great to work with.

In June we spent a week at at Residence Alcione, Positano, in a small apartment. The views are spectacular and the location is excellent - easy walking distance to everything in Positano. Residence Alcione has larger apartments also. Have a look at their website www.alcioneresidence.com. We were absolutely delighted with our choice and would return in a heartbeat. If you do book be sure to opt for the 5 Euro per person breakfast which is served on your own private terrace and is easily the best value in Positano. We booked through Summer in Italy and on their website Residence Alcione is called "Villa Faustina"! Summer in Italy was terrific to work with. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Here is an option that has received excellent reviews; I have never been, though:

I second the recommendation for Summer In Italy. They were easy to work with, and we were happy with the property we rented.

We are staying at a B&B in Praiano. Small village between Positano and Amalfi. It is called Villa Il frantoio. Haven't been there yet, But good reviews on tripadvisor. The room we have booked has a kitchenette.
