Fodorites getting together in Boston

Are there any social groups / get togethers in the Boston area for folks interested in travel or associated with this website? I understand there is one in the DC area and wondered if there was anything similar here.

You can start your own also. Bob and Andy who do this fodors GTG also have many from the Asia forum (because they travel there)joining in from across the country.

Hi BarbraR:

I'd be willing to help you
setup a fodors GTG in the Boston area.

Meanwhile I will also email Robert.

Let me know,
Di

BarbaraR-I am the afore-mentioned Andy. We've had GTG's in Boston for the last several years. The last two have been at the Hotel@MIT in Cambridge. My guess is that we will plan one for the fall. Of course, Bob can always be convinced easily and maybe we'll do one sooner. You can reach me at [email protected]. Feel free to write me. I will make sure Bob is advised thereof. He would feel so left out otherwise.

Thanks Andy for getting back to the ladies. The two emails I have for you, two, are no longer valid is why I paged you on the Asia forum

you have my old address....my new one is the same, just a different company:

[email protected]

i think that we thought that maybe we would have another one in october and probably in cambridge again as the facility is perfect for us...private and decent reasonable food...

if you want to do one, go right ahead....we do not hold any rights to fodors get togethers...

fyi---i think there may be one held in hartford in may....keep a watch for it...it will be posted on europe and asian boards and maybe elsewhere...they are fun....

the asia group just had one last nite in bangkok and had another in bangkok at christmas time...very active group...
