In FLorence, Hotel Casci. It's great value and a very warm and comfortable place, www.hotelcasci.com. Venice in general is pricier. We liked Hotel FLora but I believe that is out of your price range, www.hotelflora.it. You can do a text search on either of these names for lots if info.

The Hotel Galleria is well located & well priced in Venice but many of the rooms are small. I can't remember what people here have said about their triples. If you're looking for 3 single beds (vs 2 doubles or a roll away) you may have a problem. Depending upon how long you're staying in each city you might want to consider an apartment.<BR>Many use the website venere.com to do their research but you should figure out, if you ahven't already, what sleeping arrangements you want.
