Florence/Venice accomodation.

We three female travelers will be visiting Florence and Venice in Oct. Would like suggestions for well-located, well-priced small hotels in each, averaging 150 euros per night--or so.
Thanks!!!

Hi here are some suggestions check out these web sites-Venice: hoteldopozzzi.it( I stayed here and loved it)locandasturion.com-
Also ricksteves.com-click travel links-sleeping, he has good suggestions for both Venice and Florence.
Florence:hotelalassendra.com( I have also stayed here and found it a very good value, be sure to request a room over looking the garden, with private bath.)
hotelmorandi.it-( this place is fab. and worth the X-tra $)and lascaletta.com
You should be able to read reviews on most of these "pensione" type hotels on Frommers, Rick Steves, and by doing a search here on Fodors.
Best of luck to you, if you need more info. please feel free to email me directly,
Fluffy

In FLorence, Hotel Casci. It's great value and a very warm and comfortable place, www.hotelcasci.com. Venice in general is pricier. We liked Hotel FLora but I believe that is out of your price range, www.hotelflora.it. You can do a text search on either of these names for lots if info.

The Hotel Galleria is well located & well priced in Venice but many of the rooms are small. I can't remember what people here have said about their triples. If you're looking for 3 single beds (vs 2 doubles or a roll away) you may have a problem. Depending upon how long you're staying in each city you might want to consider an apartment.
Many use the website venere.com to do their research but you should figure out, if you ahven't already, what sleeping arrangements you want.
