Florence Hotel Bernini Palace

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? I've checked the comments on Venere.com and they run the gamut. I thought it sounded like it was a good location and a nice hotel for the price but not sure now.

If I recall correctly, the Bernini Palace is in Piazza Barbarini (sp?), not my favorite locality in Rome. Again, as I recall, its a relatively expensive hotel. If I may, I think you would do better at Albergo del Senato in Piazza della Rotunda. Better location, smaller place, certainly no more expensive.

DRJ, you're responding about Rome, but I think damama is asking about the one in Florence.

Thanks for the input. What don't you like about the Uffizi area? It sounds like it is close to everything. Am I wrong?

Thanks, WillTravel, your're right. I missed his answer as I was typing. Still hoping for an answer.
