Help with Florence Hotel

We will be visiting Florence in August and need to make a reservation, but we are having a lot of trouble deciding. We need something around 250 Euros. Which is the best choice?

Terry,
My wife and I spent a few days in Florence 2 years ago at the Rivoli and had a terrific experience for just over $200!. Location was magnificent. We were less than 2 blocks from Trevi Fountain. Everything, repeat, everything was within walking distance. I highly recommend it.

My husband and i were there in September. We stayed at the Hotel Montebello Splendid. It was very nice and quaint-right next to the river and close to town. It has very elegant rooms and large also. King size bed too! It was 525,000 ITL. We have high taste being from Chicago and big travellers- for reference!

Thank you all for your replies. We are trying to decide between the Hotel Orto de Medici or the Brunelleschi. I have searched the forum for both of these hotels, with some success. Has anyone stayed at either of these properties? As we are travelling in the summer we are concerned about having a quiet room, as well as a cool one!
