Florence: Help me choose between 2 restaurants

We have one jet lagged night in Florence and then one more evening where we pretend we're not jet lagged before heading into Tuscany. We've been to Florence years ago. We're NYers and want one lovely dinner out in Florence. I've been doing some digging and came up with what I think are 2 good choices - we're looking for dignified but not stuffy or super upscale - just excellent cooking and wine. Help me decide between: Osteria dell'Enoteca Osteria della Enoteca or https://www.ristorante-ilguscio.it/?u... Il Guscio.

Any thoughts ??

Thanks!

I don't know either of these at all, but I take it that you are staying in the Oltarno, yes? If you're located somewhere between these two restaurants either would probably suit, but if you're not, for me, these might be a little far flung when I'm jet lagged.

You might not want another suggestion, but we liked this place. We recommended it to foodie friends, who went there twice:
Trattoria Gargani - Trattoria Gargani Florence

I went to Osteria dell Enoteca in October and had a lovely dinner. The food, wine pairings and ambience is good, as is the service. Upscale but not stuffy-would recommend..

I think our most special meal was at the Mercato. If you get there before the evening crowds, it's a delight trying different dishes and wines.

Enjoy!
