Florence B&B advice

Has anyone stayed at any of the following B&Bs? I found these on Florenceby.com and the pictures are lovely and the price seems right. Does anyone have experience with any of these places. Location, cleanliness, staff, etc. Thanks

Relais de Duomo
Residenza Il Maggio
Residenza Proconsolo
Soggiorno Michelangelo

My friend and I stayed at Residenza del Proconsolo this past May. It is very clean. It is right near the Duomo. I think it is a good location. The owners, Roberto and Paola, are extremely nice. They made museum reservations for us at the Uffizi and Accademia, got us a cab, carried our bags up and down the stairs... Internet access is available.
I thought it was a good deal for the price and would recommend it.
Have a wonderful time.

Another vote for Proconsolo, but book your accommodations directly through the B&B. Using FlorenceBy usually costs slightly more...

Hi V,

You might also wish to consider www.bedinflorence.it.

We very much enjoyed our stay there.

They have private bathrooms and AC.

I spent 6 nights at R. Proconsolo in Nov 2005. Lovely owners, great location, private bathrooms, comfy beds. Highly recommended.

Not on your list, but I can highly recommend the Relais Cavalcanti. Great location right by the Uffizi, very helpful owner, sparkling clean, and charming (like visiting a very upscale Italian home). No full breakfast, though. Instead, they have a very nice dining room which is open 24/7, providing complimentary packaged pastries, coffee, hot cocoa, etc. Each room has its own mini-fridge, too.
