florence airport to train station
after turning in our car rental at the airport in Florence we will be taking train to Venice. How do we get from Peretola airport in Florence to train station for trip to Venice. Is there a bus? do I take taxi? would appreciate info ASAP. Checked the aeroporto Florence website but couldn't find the info that way. Leaving in a week

This brochure is a bit out of date, but you might find it helpful if you intend to take the shuttle bus.

You may find it quicker to take the bus from the airport to Florence-Rifredi station, two miles out of the town center and served by trains coming from Florence's SMN main station - get there quicker and a less chaotic station to navigate. You could perhaps turn your car in a the Rifredi station - a main station for suburban Florence.

No. The shuttle bus I posted doesn't make stops except at the main train station. It's a shuttle to service the airport and train station, not a regular city bus that makes a bunch of stops (although it does drop a couple of places around SMN station - see map on brochure pdf I linked).
If you are coming from Bologna by fast train (or from most anywhere by fast train), the train will not stop at Rifredi. The fast trains only stop at main stations so you would likely have to change trains at the main station (SMN) to even reach Rifredi (the fast train from Bologna makes no stops except SMN). Makes no sense. I imagine there are some city buses available around Rifredi, but you might have to make several bus changes to reach the airport.
