Fiumicino - Rome airport to train station

Could someone please be so kind and tell me the best way to get to the train station via airport! We are traveling to Naples immediately after arriving into Fiumicino. Not to mention the 14 hour flight. We are looking for the most sensible way to get to Naples? Would appreciate any first hand opinions. Thank you

The best way is by train to Rome Termini station where you change trains for Naples. You can buy your tickets all the way to Naples at the airport.

The Leonardo Express train from FCO airport to Termini station is 9.5E and takes about 30 minutes. Another options is to reserve a limo. I've used www.limoservicerome.com and the price for 6 people was 62E. The limo service will wait at the airport with a sign with your name on it.

The most sensible way to get to Naples would be to take a connecting flight from Rome Fuimicino to Naples airport. No hassles with trains, etc., and oftne you bags get checked through and you go through customs in Naples, which saves time and hassle. The next most sensible way is to hire a car and driver to pick you up at the airport and drive you direclty to Naples. The next is to have a driver take you from Rome airport to the central train station in Rome. The last is to take the airport train to the central train station in Rome. This would be cheaper and a little less convenient than having a driver meet you and drive you to the Rome train station, esp if you have a lot of bags.

From Fiumicino Airport to Rome Termini train station, there is nonstop airporter train service every 30 minutes. Travel time 32 minutes. Fare Euro 9.50.

From Rome Termini to Naples, trains leave at least every hour. See my previous posting: three types of trains between Rome and Naples.

You need to allow 15 minutes connection time, as you will need to walk about 1000 yards upon your arrival at Termini.

Purchase both tickets at the ticket office of the Fiumicino Airport train station.
