train from Rome airport to Naples airport
We are flying into Rome and will have a limo at the Naples airport. What is the best way to get there? Not familiar with the train system. Do I need reservations for it? What is the best route?
Thanks

You will need to get the train (or taxi) from Rome airport (Fuimicino) to the main train station in Rome which is called Termini. Then catch another train to Naples. From the train station in Naples you would need to get a taxi to the Naples airport. Why not just fly from Rome to Naples?
There are 3 different types of trains, the quickest and most expensive is Eurostar which takes about 2 hours direct to Naples. You can book ahead of time or when you arrive. On Eurostar you always have a reserved seat. Timetables and costs are on www.trenitalia.com

Taxi drivers in Naples are notorious rip off merchants. Get the bus outside the train station (near the Macdonalds Resturant): 1.70 euro when I was last there. The bus ride is about 15min and will drop you outside the departures building.

I agree with Kay. why not fly? I'm afraid that trying to get from the airport to Termini, and then securing your train ticket to Napoli, and then from there, trying to get to the airport, will cause unneeded stress right at the beginning of the trip! There are a lot of airlines to choose from, and I bet if you reserve now, it wouldn't be THAT much more than the train, and the ease of commuting this way would be worth it in the long run.
I speak Italian and I wouldn't want to do it that way. I'd either fly immediately, or I'd spend a day or two in Rome before I'd head to Napoli.

Flying is quick but why not see the beautiful countryside and take the train? The best advice however is to spend a night or more in Rome first. You will have jetlag (unless you are flying non-stop from the east coast) and will need a day to recover to regain your senses.
