I've asked someone who's a big fan of the hotel and will let you know when I hear back from him.

Also there is one Fodor's poster who absolutely loves and recommends the Hotel Bonaparte all the time. I don't know if he contributes to Bonjour Paris but I'm sure he isn't getting commission from the hotel by posting here. It's for info. only.

Hotel Castex is great and within your range. Near the Bastille.

Caron de Beaumarchais in the 4th, Marais District, is a very nice little hotel. It has character, good location and superb service. It is on the right bank across the Seine from Notre Dame. Price may be a tad over 120E but well, well worth it.

If you go there do not miss 'Mariage Freres' for lunch.

Bonne chance!

Anthony

Hi. We've decided to stay at the Aramis St. Germain. And now, I need your help on how to get from the airport to the hotel. I'm flying into Paris de Gaulle and the hotel is on Rue De Rennes. I'm willing to pay 30-40EUR to make the trip as simple as possible. Any suggestions.

Christina once accused me of working for Crillon -La-Brave because I favor that beautiful hotel. She may even be the one who acused me of trying to rent St Cirq's house.

The easiest way is to just take a taxi, which would cost what you're willing to spend. For a bit less you could take one of the shuttle services. The only problem with the shuttles is that you're often in with a group, requiring multiple pick-up stops.

My expert confirmed that the des Balcons indeed is without a/c.

We're using the Parishuttle, we don't mind the extra stops because it gives us a little extra tour right off the bat. Did the same in London.
