first time traveler
Hello everyone! I am going to backpack through Europe for the first time in a few weeks, and I wanted to ask anyone who can help for advice. Basically, what are some good websites to visit in order to get any important information that I may need (i.e. which international student ID should I get, what to pack, favorite destinations....) Anything will help, thanks and peace.

You may get better/more replies than here by posting this question and/or searching the message boards on lonely planet and eurotrip.com - both of these sites cater more towards backpackers and students. Europtrip also has hostel reviews, and both have destination info.
Student travel sites:
www.statravel.com/
www.istc.org/
Have a great trip!

Yes another devoted fan of ... Lonely Planet and go to the Thorn Tree (their bulletin board). These folks are extremely knowledgeable about backpacking-style and can no doubt give you further websites to look at. Be warned, the more specific you phrase your question there, the more friendly, and more helpful answers you will receive.
Also Rick Steves' website for good packing lists.
