I have looked quickly on the forum and have looked at the ferry websites but am still confused by the ferries. I want to take the ferry from Dubrovnik to Split but would like to take the morning ferry to Hvar or Korcula and then take the afternoon ferry all the way to Split. Even when I go to the ferry website it seems like there is no hop-on-hop-off option. Is this true??

I can't provide an exact answer, but would note that there are at least two different ferry companies, and one of the main options for getting from Dubrovnik to Korcula is a bus (which crosses briefly on a ferry). Also, remember that there are multiple cities on each island, so be sure you are looking at the cities you want (if aiming for HOHO) or that work (if willing to take a bus or other local transportation from one city to another).

AND it all depends on when you are going, as the ferry schedules change from season to season. IIRC, there's a major set of changes on / around 1 June.

Thanks kja! the rome2rio.com site is indeed helpful but still confusing. It shows the ferry stopping at Hvar but I am not sure what time. I will be there the second and third weeks of June. Can I stay there for the afternoon and catch an evening ferry to Split?
