Feedback on Agriturismo Marciano (outside Siena)?

Looking into this agriturismo (Agri Marciano). http://www.agriturismomarciano.it/index_en.htm

The website looks nice, wondering if anyone has seen it/stayed there/heard anything about it.

I just went to their web site and you're right, it looks very nice. We're looking for something similar so I bookmarked it. Thank you.

Hopefully, this post will put your query to the top of the forum again and you'll get an answer.

We have stayed twice at Il Columbiao which is about 10 miles outside of Siena in a beautiful little village called Torre. Website:http://www.toscanaholiday.com/.The lodging is in a coverted barn. Bella!

Sal -- no problem, hope it helped!

Mike -- funny you should mention il colombiao, it's on my list. It sounds as if you liked it -- were the owners friendly? Anything you didn't like about it?

W.H.

Did you decide on the Agriturismo Marciano? Did you check it when you were in Siena? I've made reservations for mid-May and wonder if it is as it's pictured on the website. In particular I'm hoping for the green and trees around it.

Has anyone actually stayed at Agriturismo Marciano? W_H or Wanda1? Please tell me how it was. I have made a reservation for October.

Check over at www.slowtrav.com to see if there's info on this property. There're a lot of agriturismo reviews, posted by people who've stayed in them, on the site.

Thanks, Betsy. There are thousands of agriturismo to choose in Tuscany, so the website you told me will be a help.

I'm so sorry I never posted my experience at Agriturismo Marciano. It was the highlight of our trip to Siena Tuscany. The apt. or dependence was beautiful, clean and inexpensive. The views of the vineyards incredible, the people warm and friendly, the dinner the best we had in Italy! Location perfect, I can go on and on. I'm so glad I took a chance on it. I hope this helps someone find the perfect place in Siena. I much preferred staying in the country (only a 5-10 minute ride to town) than staying in the crowded town.
