Favorite restaruants in Copenhagen

I'll be in Copenhagen between 24-30 November and I'm interested in which restaurants you've liked and why.

A genuine Danish restaurant that we have enjoyed several times is The Kobenhavner Cafeen.Located on Badstuestraede, off the Stroget(walking street, near The Foot Locker or some such sneaker shop).Open for lunch and dinner they have good open face sandwiches and very good veal and fish.

If you like chinese, there is Double Happiness. Not fancy, but good.it's on GammelKongevej near the Planetarium & IMAX theater.Enjoy

I just got back from Copenhagen about 30 minutes ago. Two places I really liked--Skt Gertruds Kloster, a very expensive "destination" restaurant, housed in a 700 year old building. The other place I loved was Cafe Victor, just off the popular Ostergade shopping street. The cappuccino I had there ranks up with my top 5 in all of Europe and the vibe was good--a mix of shoppers, graphic designers, merchants, etc.

Thanks for the hot of the presses answer. How much was a typical dinner/lunch?

FAMOUSUNCLEART,

. . .any of several restaurants in Grafriar's Square (Gråbrødre Torv) are very good - Peder Oxe, Jensens Bofhaus, and three or four others.

Your cost question is pretty difficult to answer, but in the restaurants mentioned above you'll pay about $30-35 or more if you drink a lot. A decent steak will be about 250 krone . . .

Cafe Victor was pretty reasonable. The food was an international mix--Greek, Scandinavian, French--and a meal would probably cost about $25 pp, unless you drank a lot. The bill at Skt Gertrudes Kloster was significantly higher. We had a four course dinner (appetizer, main course, cheese, dessert), white and red wine, plus coffee, so the tab was easily over $100 pp.
