You can't go wrong with most places, but I agree with some of the responses that you should decide on location depending on time of year and weather. Paris and France are beautiful, but I have never been there when it hasn't rained. Especially in June. Wherever you go, I suggest you spend some time out of the large metro areas and go to the small towns and villages and smile and try to meet the people. That is how travel becomes special and how you get to "Know" an area. The cities are wonderful, but the people make up the countries. I like just about everywhere we've been. My husband and I are in the midst of planning a return trip to the Costa Brava in June and we rarely return to an area. Barcelona and area north are just beautiful.
