family booking in paris

I am planning a family vacation to London and Paris next summer and am having problems finding apts. and/or hotels in Paris capable(or willing) of lodging us at a reasonable price. There are 6 adults and 7 children ages 10-15.Does anybody have any experience or know of any places that would suit our needs? Many thanks for good suggestions.

May I suggest you give a definition of a "resonable" price. I have learned that to some folks on this board $40 a night is "reasonable" and to others $300 a night is "resonable"

Also, what type of sleeping arrangments? i would assume 3 rooms with 2 aduits and a couple of kids each.

I have no personal experience with these, but you can investigate further:

Citadines Apart'hotel (several locations)

- they may have studios, make sure you're booking an apartment w/double bed + sofabed

Holiday Inn Republique

HotelHome Paris 16
36, rue George Sand 75016

I was going to suggest Citadines, too. Perhaps this one, for location/rates:

The Holiday Inn Republique is a nice place and I've used it several times. You can sometimes get a decent rate on a pre-pay. The breakfast buffet is excellent, but not cheap.

Another place I've used and like is Grand Hotel Francais. I know they have SOME larger capacity rooms, but I don't know how many:

It has great Metro access at the Nation station.

It may be difficult to find an apartment that will house all of you in one unit. Try looking on www.vrbo.com where you can sort by number of bedrooms. You may also find some owners who have multiple units in the same building that may work for you. With that number of people you probably want at least two bathrooms, if not more, as well.

Maybe someone might have an idea if you say what you are willing to spend. That is going to be very difficult if you don't want to spend very much. I guess you need three quads in a hotel, but the problem is most hotels don't have that many quads, so you may need to stay in different hotels. You might be able to do that at one of the huge chain hotels, though. Actually, the HI Republique someone mentioned is a fairly large hotel and I've read they do have larger-than-avg rooms (and some with two double beds or something). That's a 4* hotel, so won't be cheap, but you might get some discounts somewhere, as flyboy says. Citadines are not real cheap, either.
