Family Accomodations in Paris

My wife and I are doing the unthinkable, illogical, unnatural, incomprhensible, and down right nonsensical thing...We are taking both set of parents to Paris for the week after Christmas. We are also taking our three younger siblings(boys12,13 and girl 8). We would like to know if anybody knows of any affordable hotels or b&bs that are centrally located? I know I am asking the impossible but who better to ask than all of you. P.S. My wife and I have been to Paris twice so we are pretty familiar with the layout of the city.

Maybe an apartment rental would work for you. Citadines (sp?) has been mentioned on this board for apt. rentals.

I stayed at a Citadines last week with a double bed and a double pull out couch with small kitchen near the Louvre for 240 euros/night. you'd need a few rooms though.

Just having secured our accommodations for a family of 5 (2 adults & 3 young kids), I found the following websites helpful for apt rental:
http://www parisnet.net
http://www parissweethome.com
http://www apartaparis.com
http://www parisbestlodge.com
http://www.apartment-paris.com/en/--58d18--/
http://www.paris-apts.com/
http://www.vacationinparis.com/
http://www.franceforrent.com/listing_price.shtml

Hope this helps. Apts are nice because you have more room. Make sure, however, that the rate they quote you includes agency fees. That can add 35% if your not careful. Also, try to go through the owner. They usually are cheaper because they don’t charge the agency fee.

I would also recommend getting the book: Paris for Families by Larry Lain

Hope this helps. Have fun!
