everything booked but air

okay. i am starting to panic, my 8 girlfriends have planned trip to tuscany in june, villa and car booked but thought air would go down, it has not. i even bid on priceline and they come back with a price higher than i can get with my travel agent, when i say i will make 2 stops instead of 1 the price goes up 200. go figure. any help with airfare flying from jax, fl to rome. should i pick another euro city to fly initially and then connect to rome. my friends need any help you can give.

What is the price you consider unacceptable? Are you eight? or eight plus one?

I have some ideas, but not sure what I am trying to target.

Best wishes,

Rex

6/11 to 6/26. i bid 850 which i thought is too high. my travel agent says 1040. we wanted to keep it around 900, is that realistic?

You can buy MCO (Orlando)-LON (Heathrow) on Air Canada right now on Orbitz, Jun 11 to Jun twenty-FIVE for $704 (the 26th goes up to $864).

London (Stansted) to Rome (Ciampino) from as low as 54.08 GBP (about $90) on June _twelve_ to June twenty-FOUR (yes, that means overnight near STN or LHR, but you have to overnight SOMEwhere - - doesn't necessarily have to be more expensive than in Italy)

plus transport cost between LHR and STN (maybe $45 RT?) and cost to get to/parking at Orlando.

So, that's about $830, plus?

Might be able to find better?

thanks Rex, thought about it but my girls did not want to overnight. my travel agent found 7 tickets for exact dates for 1040. we only make 1 stop each way and the times are perfect.so now everything is done and we are relieved. if the price does go down i'll remember for the next trip. thanks for responding

For future reference. IGNORE the priceline item when it comes back and bid again with a price in between your first and their suggestion!
