US Air Sale

US Airways announced a Spring sale today. Examples: Phil to London $226, San Fran to Amsterdam $310, Boston to Manchester $207. Fares are roundtrip and don't include the usual fees and taxes. Travel has to be completed by 4/8

Wish I could take advantage.

I just got tickets through Priceline for US Air. Four tickets, Tampa to CDG for $560 per ticket. Travel dates June 16-24. It is the best I have seen in many months.

You can get some good prices on Priceline, but I would caution anyone that the price they bid does not include tax & fees. Plan on tacking on an additional $80.00 to your bid price.

sward030, not a bad price for the time you are going. What did you bid, and how much tax & fees did they tack on?

I bid 400. Priceline came back with a 464 price and then put on an additional 98 for tax and 7 for fees. This put me at 569 per ticket. I saw lower prices last year but held out thinking I could get a better deal after the first of year. However, they just kept going up so I jumped on this. The next cheapest I had seen this year was around 800.

Thanks.

It's funny how the prices go up and down. The price to Ireland for late May was stuck on $615 for months -- I hopped on it, and two weeks later it dropped to $505. Since we had paper tickets, the airline honored the lower price, and I sent them my tickets to be re-cut. That same flight today runs for $2500.

Unfortunately, you won't have the same luxury since you bookked on Priceline, but I think you got a good deal.

Have a great time in Paris!!!
